DuckDuckGo doesn’t have a built-in dark theme like Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge do, but you can get a dark DuckDuckGo browser in a few clicks.

You can even apply a dark theme to every web page you visit.

Many people loves it when an app look in Dark mode, it actually serves a purpose. In a dark room, or at night, the bright white background could hurt one’s eyes or annoy others in close toward a phone.

Dark mode is now been supported on the DuckDuckGo app for Android. Only if you are using the latest version of DuckDuckGo on your Android device, you can enable Dark mode by following the bellow steps:

  1. Open your DuckDuckGo app.
  2. Go to Settings (to check if your Chrome version is 5.53.1 (5531) and above, if it is then let’s move on, but if it is not, Update your DuckDuckGo from Google play store)
  3. Now Go to https://duckduckgo.com/settings
  4. Tap the “Theme” under Settings.
  5. Select \\\”Dark\\\”
  6. Now \\\”Save and Exit\\\”
  7. Reopen the browser and open the app \\\”Settings\\\”
  8. Under \\\”General\\\” disable \\\”light Theme\\\”
