To protect your SD Card you must follows the following guide lines
1. Always power off phone before inserting or removing of memory card
2. Do not expose memory card to dust and light rays.
3. Do not remove memory card during file transfer.
4. Transfer file only when batteries are fully charged because batteries failure during file transfer can damage or corrupt memory card
5. Keep memory card away from magnetic fields
6. Periodically reformat your memory card
7. Always safely eject your memory card from the computer
8. Use good quality card reader
9. Avoid unnecessary removal of memory card
